Hi, I know we are doxie people here, but there is an 11-year-old Corgi, named Andy, who has been lost in CT since New Year's Eve when he was spooked by fire works and slipped out of his collar.
The owner has been frantically searching and has even brought in a dog tracker.
Below is her latest update on the search for Andy and a photo of him, so anyone who lives in New England, can you please share with your friends (on face book if you have an account, etc). We would all want help if one of our precious doxie babies was lost. Thanks!
LOST DOG - CORGI -CT and Surrounding Areas!
------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you in southern CT and surrounding areas or know people who are please help spread the word!!!
Andy is an 11 year old Corgi who was lost on New Year's Day and is still missing. He went missing in Westport, CT. There have been several sightings in Westport, Norwalk and Fairfield. His parents are doing all they can to spread the word and find their boy.
MOST RECENT UPDATE includes a dog tracker who came down to try to track him down and here was the update on his Facebook page:
"Attention! Fabulous dog tracked Andy for 6.7 miles from his last sighting sat at 9a.m at Winslow dog Park in Westport, The track ended abruptly on a small street and the trackers expert opinion is that he was picked up and driven off. No signs of any injury, however we have contacted all vets in the area and beyond to be sure. This dog who is trained to follow cold tracks of up to a month was especially excited following Andy's trail because it was so fresh. Please alert everyone you know, and post a lot of flyers in Westport, he could be with anyone, we can't limit the flyer area to that specific street as he could be in anyone's house or picked up by someone working in that area!!! Thank you!!"
So, with this information getting the word out beyond the immediate area of his disappearance is so important. PLEASE if you know anyone who lives or works in Fairfield County or nearby could you help spread the word?
His parents have many flyers out around the surrounding towns, have contacted vets, animal control, police, mail carriers, and the local news channel has covered his story twice since his disappearance.
For more information please visit Andy's Facebook page or website! His lost dog poster with contact info is attached below his photo.
