Happy New Ye. . Er, I mean User Rank!
I am very saddened to have to report that a tragic thing has occurred at the Hotdog Blog! You may notice that everyone’s site rank went to zero today. I was installing a new module for dachshund events and somehow it deleted user post counts in the database. This is highly disturbing because it should not have been possible for this to happen. Alas, apparently it did. The unfortunate thing is that these figures are gone forever.
Needless to say, the event section will now take a different path. What to do about ranks is an open question. I could try to recreate user ranks by manually inserting numbers into each profile, but that doesn’t seem like such a good idea given the need to remember the numbers or have people tell me what their numbers were.
So, I think we are stuck with starting 2006 fresh on the site. If I come up with anything else, I will let you know. . .
Sorry for this. The posts have not been lost, but the numbers were a nice demonstration of the site’s participation. Don’t be too bummed.

Dear Cleo, Don’t worry - you do everything else on the blog so very well that you were bound to make a simple goof eventually. Like mommy says - even the Pope has a bad day now and then. Secretly she doesn’t mind that much because she feels like she can catch up to Heidi & Fiona and the other HDB Royalty! WE STILL LOVE YOU CLEO!

Yup I agree, Cleo nothing to worry about. I think it gives a member since date on some things anyway so we will still know who not to bark at, he he. Thanks for all your great work Cleo

Oh well Cleo mistakes happen even though this was a biggy. Just when I got to be a Baroness. Oh well maybe we should just forgo the ranking altogether. This place is for pleasure anyway and not competition. And now everyone is going to try to write a little something just to get the ranking. So I say let this ranking go and just lets have fun and enjoy one another.Maybe a blessing in disguise.

And I had just got used to being a Baron…. Oh well…. not to worry…. Easy come…. easy go! If this is the only mistake, it is an easy one to live with. You have put SO much effort into the upgrade, that I am surprised that there haven’t been more! Just shows you… you are a very clever girl!!!!
