A fourth doxie?

Okay everyone, I need some help. Last Saturday my husband and I took Riley to the breeder we bought him from, just for a visit:) We had a wonderful time visiting, and she thought Riley was maturing very nicely. How I managed to leave her home without another puppy is still beyond my comprehension. Right now she has three litters of pups. My husband picked one out of a litter announcing we would be taking him home with us? I posted a pic of this pup in my gallary, he is a beautiful puppy. I think the only thing that really stopped me is that he looks very similar to my Leo, and there just can’t be another Leo:) I did however fall in love with a pup that is out of a LH cream and LH blk/tan. This pup is unique looking, and just really captured my heart. He looks like a little bull mastiff pup with his dark muzzle. Right now he’s three wks old, so a little while before he leaves the nest:) I don’t know why I’m even questioning getting another doxie, maybe because I think it wouldn’t be fair to Riley. I knew I would be getting another one for sure once we bought our house with a nice fenced in yard, but by then this little guy will be gone:( For those of you who have at least four doxies, is it really that much different than three? I know I can handle it, but what in the world is making me feel like I shouldn’t even be thinking about a fourth one right now? Usually I’m very clear I what I want, and usually I get it, but I’m stumped on this one. Any comments, words of advice, encouragement, would all be greatly appreciated. I love this puppy. If you look in my gallary that’s where I will post his picture:) He’s simply beautiful! Thanks, Bobbi

Go for it!!! one more can’t make much difference.

How old were the others when you got Riley?

Did he make much of an impact on them.

That puppy you showed us is lovely,I am biased towards mini longs anyway. What is the main colour of the other puppy you fancied. It’s like being a kid in a sweet shop so much choice.

I’d gladly get more but the prices over here are very high and I need to save up.

Good luck, don’t leave it too long because they could be snapped up.

Yes, yes, go for him Bobbi. I only have one and the most I have had is two but I would love to have four. The puppy is beautiful and would make a great addition to your family.

4 is not different from 2. 4 is not different than 7 too.

GO GET THAT PUPPY! Four is a good number for doxies. Well, i guess i may be a bit bias because I have 4. We didn’t want to wait until the others were all too old to adjust to a puppy. I was a nervous wreck before I decided on my last doxie, Abby. I was asking myself the same questions you are. I have never regreted getting her for one second. If you ask me, the more doxies, the merrier!

I know how you feel! We didn’t want another doxie until we went to the county fair last summer and stumbled across the doxie club booth. Who was there but Ruckus’ brother and his nephew! His nephew was the most precious little black and tan pup. 10 minutes after leaving the booth we were talking about getting another pup from the same breeder. That’s how we got Rowdie. Not exactly a black and tan smooth (like my hubby wanted) but he said I could pick ANY one I wanted. Hee Hee! Four is GREAT! My four get along fine and have a lot of fun together… Keep us posted!

Bobbi, you know you want that Black and Cream! Obviously he owns you and has since the minute he saw you. What are you waiting for. Go bring him home! 4 is no more problem than 3 and just increases the joy by 10 times.

where’s Harry’s Mum when you need her?

I would go for the 4th!
