Riley’s postponed neuter

Standing in my bathroom, getting ready for work a thought hit me:) Snow, stitches, dachshund, none of these are a good combination. I called the vet and we agreed that because Riley’s stitches cannot get wet, getting him neutered will have to wait until some of this snow melts:) I was not open to using pee pads in the house as my boys are well housetrained, and I am not about to start any bad habits:) I’m not too concerned since Riley hasn’t even made an attempt to lift his leg and spray anywhere in the house. Even being at the breeders house last weekend, with 4 females with close proximity of Riley, he never attempted to spray then either. So, for now he will remain intact:) Just thought I’d update everyone:) Bobbi

So Riley has had a reprieve.How old is he? Rhuari is nearly 2 and was very late learning to cock his leg probably 15mths.,he doesn’t do it in the house or that much when we are out walking,other males have had to water every blade of grass and lamp post,where they managed to find all that wee from heaven knows.
How long before the snow goes?

I’m so happy for you Riley, but I’m sad to say it won’t be much longer until the snow stops coming and then melts away completely. Enjoy while you can!
