Ch-ch-ch-changes!
Hey all, Oscar Mayer here.
We regret to admit that we haven’t been on THDB very much here lately…things have been so hectic. You all might remember that my mommy is having their first hooman baby in November, and it seems that everything is revolving around that now! I mean, I’m still their baby but I’m kinda afraid that’s not gonna last after the little hooman comes. I’ve heard that they’re a LOT of work. Plus, I feel like I’m being cheated out of the time before the hooman pops out of mommy because she’s been so sick all the time for like two weeks. All she wants to do is lay in bed, eat like twenty meals a day, and throw up 10 of them. I feel bad for her, but I feel worse that I know she’s feeling so bad but I still want her to play with me. I just sit by her with my paws on her feet when she’s hugging the toilet and lick her face when she’s feeling a little bit better.
Oh, and mom told me that we’re moving in two weeks (April 8 & 9) to Missouri. Do any of you live around Springfield? Daddy got a good job on Thursday last week, and the only stipulation was that he had to start training on Monday (as in, tomorrow). So, he brought mommy home, packed all his clothes, and will come back in two weeks to help us move everything after my mommy has packed everything we own into all the empty cardboard boxes that I love to play in. I’m gonna miss my grandma and grandpa so much, but I’ll have my cousins Bear, Milo, Hercules, and Nala to play with. We’ll be living on a 5 acre piece of land out in the wooly-boogers, so I’ll have my work cut out for me protecting my mommy and my little brother (or sister) to be from all the bugs and wolves and stuff.
Also, I want to say that even though I haven’t heard from Lola in a really long time, I still think of her often and pray that she, Big Frankie, and their mommy and daddy are doing well. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and I miss my sweet Lola more every day!
Well, that’s all for now, mommy feels the need to go lay down again and I need her fingers to relay my thoughts!
Love all you guys!

We are really happy for your family and the upcoming baby! Don’t worry little Oscar, the sickness should go away soon! I lived in Springfield, Mo, for a few years when I was little. My parents went to Baptist Bible College there and I went to the on-campus daycare. I actually have a few cousins and friends that are going to college there now! My aunt lives there also. Springfield is only about 3 or 4 hours away from where I live! Maybe we could meet sometime! That would be fun! Well we will be praying that all goes well with the move and the pregnancy.

Ooooh, wooly boogers??? You’ll have to protect mommy from those! Don’t worry, mommy won’t be sick for long. It will pass and then she’ll be all yours again for a few more months before the new baby comes. Then you’ll have more responsibility too, protecting mommy and baby!

We don’t know much about baby’s and the such, but have heard the sickness goes away after a while. Boy, wooly boogers sure sounds scary. You’re gonna have a big job, but we know you can do it Oscar! Keep taking good care of mommy and give her a snuggle for us.

Oscar,
Tell your Mommy to try an herbal tea with Red rasberry leaf, Marshmallow root, Dandelion root, and ginger in it. She can get each ingredient cut fresh at most health food/ herb stores. She can drink it hot or make it into Iced tea. My Mommy kept a glass of it next to her bed and it really got rid of the morning sickness. Mommy also found out that the type of Iron in her pre-natal vitamins was adding to her nausea. Red rasberry leaf has natural iron in it that the body can absorb easier. I sure hope you mommy starts feeling better soon. And don’t worry, you will love your new human sibling. Especially when he/she gets big enough to crawl.

Coco Puff — I’m afraid my mommy isn’t very tea savvy. How would she make it into an iced tea? She’s definately willing to try just about anything.

Don’t worry Oscar, mommy’s sickness will go away soon. You will soon have alot of important jobs like taking care of your family. You will have to train your human sibling and that is hard work. Mine is nearly three and she is well trained already! Little humans are fun….you will love yours.

Oh, so sad to hear that your mommy has been sick. Sounds like there are lots of changes going on, but good ones! And don’t you worry, Oscar, Mommy needs you - and wants you by her side. You are her pup, after all!
Hope your Mommy is feeling better soon,
Z.
