If we all helped?
I just viewed a undercover video of a puppy mill. I’m sick from what I saw and my heart bleeds for these poor dogs. I have read and read and re-read articles about puppy mills and the horrific conditions these poor dogs endure. In each article I read there is one constant truth … there are just not enough people to enforce the laws governing a Kennel. So I have a simple maybe dumb idea. Why can’t these agency’s have 15-20 (or more) trained volunteers in each county of each state make the rounds to these “licensed” kennels and do the inspections? There are a ton (at least they always say they want to help) of willing animal lovers out there that I think would be more than happy to do this. I also believe that if there were regular inspections these puppy mills would shut down. These money hungry jerks (puppy mill owners) wouldn’t want to put that much time, money and effort into keeping their kennel up to code. Am I right?! I’m not with PETA. I’m just a animal lover. And with all the recent discussion here on THDB concerning a certain kennel I feel like I HAVE to do something. Is my idea dumb? How do I start? Suggestions are greatly appreciated. If I’m totally wrong and off base let me know. I feel so frustrated that nothing is done about this catastrophie.
Lisa and Sophie too.

no your idea is not a dumb one. anytime someone wants to help animals live a better life sounds good to me. i wish i knew how to help you. maybe if you contact your local animal shelter they can put you in contact with the right people. good luck.

You’re idea isn’t dumb. I think it’s great. I think education, education, education is also important. Not that people always listen….. very discouraging!
