SKye’s surgery went well…..

now we begin the three month road to recovery.

He was in sad shape last night (peed his bed three times) and lots of crying (and shrieking yelps when we had to move him), but was able to take a few steps this morning and pee outside.

He’s eating (what a surprise, its rare when a Doxie is too sick to eat), taken his meds without complaint, let me ice his legs and is now resting reasonably comfortably

road to recovery

Oreo is not sure what to make of it all… Skye smells different, but he has given him a weak kiss or two. Oreo is acting like a preschooler… as soon as I sit down to hold Skye, he goes to the door and cries to be out…. just reminds me of two human siblings (”what about me Mom”)

I’m also including the picture of the most recent “Hole to China”, (it was in the sand under our temporary above ground pool)…. completion will likely have to wait for spring as we have fairly rainy winters and Skye won’t be allowed outside off leash for eight weeks.

On the way to Beijing

Hello Hello! My computer is down so I’ve been offline for a few days but I had to come check on Skye’s progress. I’m so glad you’re over the surgery part. They are so worth it but wow- what a roller coaster it is sometimes…
