Skye is back at the vet.

Since Thursday, Skye has had diarrhea. We took him to the vet Friday for his post surgery injection. The vet advised to discontinue one of the meds

This morning he was a bit better on that count, but he had small swelling on his nose. By 10 am it was much worse so I phoned the vet and he advised Benedryl and watching him. By afternoon his face was swelling up worse and had welts on his body, so we took him to the emergency vet.

The steroidal medication that would help the reaction best acts badly with one of his post surgery medications, so they are keeping him overnight. (The will use the med if he has an anaphylactic reaction… but need him close). All his other vitals are good, so we are hopeful.

Did I mention we are now referring to him as “Skye’s the Limit”
