My Baby’s sick

Josie is our 9 month old mini dachshund and she’s been sick for the last 5 days. She can’t keep anything down and is currently in surgery. She’s gone down to 8 lbs and is very week. If we can’t figure out something today we’ll have to go to a specialist.
UPDATE:
Vet just called and he found string in her large intestine. Must be from one of her rope toys that sheâEUR(TM)s shreaded. He was able to get everything out w/out having to cut her stomach or intestine open. SheâEUR(TM)s going to be on meds and will be fine - we get her back on Saturday!

So sorry to hear about Josie.All the people at the HDB will be praying all comes out well. It is so hard since they can not tell you what is wrong. Please keep us posted and let us know what the outcome of the surgery is. There is alot of strong stuff that goes on when all of us get together and pray.Lots of positive energy will be heading Josie’s way, believe me it works. Good Luck Josie and get well fast.

Glad to hear that she will be ok! It freaks me out that they can get these blockages from string and things! Thank goodness the doc was able to help her without more cutting!

Glad to hear that everything turned out OK! I did away with string toys and all stuffed toys awhile back now because I was afraid of that very thing happening! My two girls are like catfish because they bottom feed on just about anything they can chew up! Our newest “Chew of Choice” are the fallen acorns from the trees with the onset of fall! You just gotta love it….Don’t ya!!!!!!!! Speedy recovery Sweetie!

Josie, we are thinking about you and praying for your quick recovery. Your family misses you so much. We are glad they were able to find out what is wrong. I have the feeling this may mean no more stingy toys for us.
