Blaze’s horrible day!
Well, I think it’s safe to say that Blaze nearly gave us a heart attack today. He managed to find and chew a combat roach trap we had put down eons ago. We had stopped putting then down since our little girl started to walk, so this was probably 2 years old. Tim took him to the vet and the vet made the poor little guy throw it up, just in case anyhting was left in it. He says it is the same stuff used in Frontline, but in a lower strength, and that Blaze would be fine. He did tell us that the most likely reaction would have been for Blaze to throw up anyway.
Blaze is absolutely fine now, but we have some more grey hairs. I feel like such a bad mom now, and we have searched the house again, to make sure there are no more hidden dangers. It’s scary how quickly things can happen though. Hug your babies close tonight, I know we will.

Glad Blaze is ok, if something is in the house that you can’t find, the dog will find it.

I’m sure you were scared out of your minds, I know I would have been. I’m glad Blaze is doing fine now, and I will give all the boys extra kisses and hugs tonight:) Give Blaze a hug and kiss from us and tell him we’re glad he’s okay:))))

OMG! I would have had a stroke! Glad Blaze is okay too. It’s just an honest mistake. When I moved into this home, I didn’t look in all the corners. PeeWee found a mouse trap that snapped shut on her lip….nothing like chasing a screaming doxie through the house! Glad your ordeal had a great ending.

Glad to hear Blaze is alright. You’re not a bad mom…..things like that just happen. It’s not your fault. He’s ok and that’s what matters.

WAAAYYY TOO MUCH STRESS HERE!!! I would have been flipping out! So glad he is OK! It is so hard to remember every little thing at times, but it is good to be given a red flag on something that you were able to fix so that we all here are able to think about the little things that we all may be forgetting ourselves! So Happy for You that it all turned out fine!!!

Happy everything is alright now. I will never understand why doggies will eat something that would taste so horrible. Blaze is now a “Fipronil connoisseur”.

So sorry for the scare that Blaze gave you! It must be a DoxiePets thing or just a Doxie thing becasue these billy goats will eat anything! Kassie gave us a major scare a a month or so ago when she stayed awake one night and proceeded to eat all the rhinestones and metal off her collar. She was in bed with her human brother and she must have been bored and spent the night eating! Luckily the vet was able to take care of her stomach, but I was a nervouse wreck.
Give Blaze a kiss from his sister Kassie and tell him to stay out of trouble! We are so happy he is safe!!!!

Blaze is back to his normal self, and all is well. The rest of us, had a long night trying to recover from the scare, and have all gone completely grey with worry. We have checked and rechecked the house and it seems to be all clear.
Thanks again for all your support everyone.
