Goodmorning……can’t go to bed yet, and smoked way too many cigarettes, and I’m floating with coffee…though I would drop a line here……Foxy has been having her new pups since about 9 o’clock last night….such a beautiful delivery for everyone so far…..the most I have do for her is give her warm chicken broth……and lots of it……she left the room about 8:45 while I was on the phone…..when I hung up she was in the other room under a chair….she had her first pup there…when I moved the chair she picked up her baby and went to the next room under my bed!….I talked to her for a long while and she carried her newborn out to me and then she went into her birthing area……she settled in there after I brought her her favorite blanket…so far we have 5 new borns…I think she may have one more….she had 2+ hours between number 3 and 4…I was getting concerned, although she was not pushing, just doing her job and resting….will keep you posted in a day or two……thanks for listening, this is always a wonderful place to come to……I enjoy it so very much….I have another litter due this thursday…..so if you don’t here from me before then……well don’t worry…..will be in touch asap…..thanks again, Linda Mills

CONGRATULATIONS on the new arrivals.
I drank Coke before bed last night as I was extra thirsty and was still awake at 6am and hen dosed for 2 hrs before Chase wanted up so I will feel wrecked today.

Ahhh such is the life of a midwife! Too many cigarettes and too much coffee.
Congratulations on the new babies - we can’t wait to see them!!!!
Hopefully you can catch up on some sleep if you can tear yourself away from staring at the sweet puppies.

Get us some pics to oooh and aaaah over as soon as you can! I don’t smoke any longer so the cigs I don’t have to worry about but this last time we did make a couple pots of coffee! Heheheh!

What great news. Kate always surprised us with her choice of birthing places for the first puppy too. The first litter it was under the cedar chest. The second time was in her crate. She and Kurt are seriously dating now, but so far they have not tied.
Hope all continues to go well. Don’t drink too much coffee! (I may still have some patches around for those cigarettes if you want!)
