I just do not uderstand how anyone could drop their animals off at a shelter esp one that puts the to sleep. I have taken a dog to an animals shelter but that was due to the prison program that they had to turn her in to a service dog (I called them and told them I had a perfect dog for the program and they said they would be gald to place her)(if she was just going to be put in the shelter I would have not take her there) She is now has a very good home with a woman who was in a car accident and lost her legs they even kept her name Gingerbread, I was happy to see her go to a wonderful home, I was sad to see her go but she needed something to do, she was not a happy dog but very smart. I am now watching the local shelters for doxies, so that they are found good homes and not put down becasue "their time is up"...I have found 3 and called up some people who were on my wating list for pups and they said they would love to go down and adopt them. I am so happy that somoene helped those dogs, it proves there are still good people out there.
