looking for breeder in upstate NY

Hi, my name is Kristin and my husband and I are going to be looking for a breeder this spring. We recently lost our lil shih tzu to cancer. We are taking our time in looking for another lil guy. We have never had a mini doxie but I have done alot of research and are interested in getting a doxie. Any suggestions on a breeder, questions for a breeder ? any suggestions from all you doxie lovers would be helpful

   I am sorry fo rthe loss of your baby. I dont know any breeders up that way, but I kow you will love dachshunds. they are wonderful to have!

   I extend my sympathy. I also doo not know of a breeder in NY. But, I will say take your time. It is VERY important that you find the right breeder. Listen to everyong on this site. Visit the breeder more than once. Ask lots of questions and get a tour of the facility and look at dogs they are breeding. Don’t make the mistake of not finding a good breeder. I can not tell you enough what could happen if you do not do your homework before you buy.
