Addicted to THDB

I’m sure I’m not the only one out there who is “addicted” to THDB, but it’s getting out of control. I need to get ready for a doctor’s appointment and a doggy appointment (time is running out as I type) and I’m still on this web site!! LOL Any other crazies out there? I think I need professional help. j/k

Yes this site is definitely addicting but I don’t think you need professional help. We all have a special bond that brought us together and we count on each other for support in all areas and to just have fun especially talking about our wonderful kids and the babies that are always being born. It gives us such pleasure. We have really become a family and I have never seen a blog that always welcomes the new people with open arms. I think this is a trait that mostly all doxies owners have. It is the reason we pick this wonderful breed to be part of our family.

NO your not alone!! I am a newbie and I love this place!!

  3. Comment by BaxtersMom:

I don’t know. Is is addicted when you jump onto THDB at work when your boss is not looking; when you log on first thing when you get home after work (after taking out Baxter first thought!); when you miss dinner because you are in chat and don’t want to leave; when you are still logged on to THDB when you should be in bed. Then, if that is being addicted, then I guess I can join the club!

I think Zoe said it perfectly. This forum has such a strong bond from every beginning. No other blog I have seen (games, computers, food, etc…) makes you feel at home. I must admit that I am not here as much as I would like and even disappear for a while, but I know that I can always come back and immediately chat with a fellow Doxohaulic. Don’t get me started on the gorgeous pics of all the four legged children.

If only I could write on the note explaining to the school why the kids were late again…..”Please excuse Zach for being tardy this morning, I was “Hotdogging It”.

ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto ditto! my productivity has gone way down since i found the blog. how does one discipline oneself when one is one’s own boss? LOL!

  8. Comment by daemondox:

You know you are a HDBaholic when you go through withdrawals when the “CPU has exceded it’s quota”.

NO NO NO! I HAVE TO POST SOMETHING!

  9. Comment by RHUARI+CHASE:

I am truly addicted,I boot the computer up whilst I make my morning cup of coffee and put the dachsies out and it is ready to go as I check the latest on the blogs and reply to PM’s or forum subjects and view photos. Most mornings it takes 2 coffees to get on top all the latest things.

I don’t know how I will manage when I go back to work and don’t have as much free time.

This is one addiction I don’t want to give up.

I too have become immersed in THDB addiction. Still a fellow newbie, I comb through the many topics on the forums, blogs, etc. several times a day and get so excited when I find someone has just posted a new one!

I am wearing the “patch” on my arm. It isn’t working though because I crave THDB 24/7. Perhaps I should just give in and admit my addiction.

  12. Comment by Snitzel:

Oh my yes! But, if all of you have a dachshund like mine, as long as it is NOT about him, i shouldn’t be on the blog! And omg! ROFLMBO at shelly. very cool and funny!!!! :D

  13. Comment by Carlee:

YES we are addicited to, but im not willing to go to the hotdogblog annoymous club ever….my husband says im addicited too, but isnt it funny when i find him logging on and chatting with certian fellow members and posting pics…yeah he is addicted too….love this place and everyone here…

  14. Comment by Sami/Lilbit:

Addicted!!!!!!!! Been here for 17 months and cant think of anywhere else I’d rather be. I love it here and love the people as well. And I dont care how many meetings my hubby makes me go to i’m not leaving.

  15. Comment by DoxiePets:

Absolutely addicted! Hello, My name is Chuck and I am a doxiholic (holds his candle)! The only thing I have found that is more addicting than THDB is Dachshunds themselves. Guess what! I am almost 65 and have no intention of giving up either. I have been addicted to Dachshunds for 7 years and to the Blog for over 2. Since I am retired and can spend all my time being cared for by my DoxiePets I see no reason to quit!

Okay bloggers, I have decided I need to set some goals for myself regarding my house that has been neglected, due to my constant hotdog blogging. I am going to try and do some chores, i.e., dishes, load of laundry, then, reward–blog, make grocery list, reward–blog, laundry, pick up family room, reward–blog, run some errands, reward–blog, go to work, reward–blog, etc. I think you all get my point. For all of you that are neglecting your duties, whatever they may be, give this a try. I’ll let you all know if it’s working for me. p.s. my goal this morning was laundry, dishes and grocery list, well folks, I did two out of the three before I had to go on this blog again. LOL
