I took Bella back to the vet this morning. The vet wanted to do a Parvo test even though she’s UTD on her shots. It was negative..thank God! She did, however, have a tapeworm. She put Bella on 3 different types of meds 3 times a day to get her digestive system straightened back out.

She told me that pups can get very serious digestive problems just like our children do and sometimes they bleed…the tapeworm didn’t help matters. I put her back on her Purina One Puppy food and took her off that holistic stuff that I got suckered into. Just like my vet said today, dogs are meat eaters, they don’t eat stuff like flax seed and oatmeal…lol.

I am so happy to report she is on the mend. Some of you know that I had to put my Lola down in November. Lola was a rescue dog (she was 2 yrs old). I got her from a woman and she didn’t tell me that Lola had Demodectic Mange…and a bad case of it. I eventually had to let her go because the toxic baths weren’t working for her and I surely didn’t want to go through losing another beloved pet so soon.
