Brownie gets himself a job!
Even though he’s been doing a lot of intense training, today was his first official day on the job. Sick and tired of inaccurate meteorologists Brownie has decided to start weather forecasting. I suppose he believes it can’t be that hard to have even slightly better results than they do! Not one to be bogged down with details, Brownie’s specializing in a BIGGER PICTURE type weather forecast.
So, without further ado, here is Brownie’s first forecast (please be advised that this is accurate for the Northeast region of the U.S. only). You know momma - she’s so proud of us she HAD to take a photo of him on his first day on the job!
You might be asking yourself ….. “What DOES this mean?” Despite a morning temperature of 61 degrees, Brownie adamantly refused to come out of his bed burrow indicating 6 more days of Winter. He also is sorry to report that it will indeed SNOW sometime within the next 24 hours but don’t BOTHER asking how much because he isn’t good with quantities - after all, he thinks he’s a BIG DOG even though he rules the compound on 2″ legs.
Looks like Bette, Baxter and the rest of us northeastern doxies have one last gasp of winter to get through.
Perfect hibernation weather if you ask us!
Love, Brownie and his proud big sister Annabel Lee!

Brownie,
Please help our Daddy, Lou Puddles Hudgins, find a job. All the girls in the house call him a Tramp and that he needs to get a Job to support ALL his children. He would not make a good weather forecaster, he would be better in security or watering plants. Help Quick…Our Hooman daddy is upset that there are two strong studs in the house that are nothing but couch potatoes and butt kissers. It seems your work is more of a Volunteer type job, Brownie. Lou is in need of a paycheck and fast. You are a great role model for a deadbeat studs out there. Please spread the word so Daddy can bring home the Bacon.
Love,
Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Doc, Happy, Dopey, and the 3 little ones that can’t talk yet…

Good for you Brownie! Baxter must have gone to the same Meteorological school as you, because he uses the same weather predicting methods! He can accurately predict that the weather under the covers will be fair and about 76 degrees F. and mostly dark. When it comes to the weather outside, he just goes with the flow, but does balk at extreme cold and hard rain!

Good job, Brownie! You’re cutest weather forecaster I’ve ever seen! Gillmor can cover the southwest region of the United States. It’ll work out well because he blends in with the scenery!

Great job Brownie! Bandit totally agrees with you but will let you have the job of official Hotdog Blog meteorologist.

The bed is the best place to be when you don’t want to go out.

Dear Brownie,
You’re a really smart guy! Can I maybe do the weather from here in Southern California? Let’s see… There is a nice sun spot, so it’s ok to go outside today. I’d stay out of the shade though because I’m a California boy now and I get the shivers when it’s under 65! haha Mama says I must have lost touch with my German roots…

I think you’re doing the right thing Brownie, and we look forward to your excellent weather forecast, and I’m sure you will be more accurate than those who get paid to tell the weather:))

Excellent job Brownie! Belle is our local weather expert here, and does a good job at predicting rain. She hides when it’s rainy, cause she doesn’t want to get her feet wet.

Looks like you’re right Brownie! It’s going to snow here today…ack, I hate snow!
