“Grape-Cee” has been rescued and adopted !!
About a month ago, a beautiful little 9-lb brown miniature dachshund was found wandering stray in East San Jose, CA. When she was turned in to the animal shelter, she had on a rhinestone collar and painted toenails, and a tag on her collar with a phone number. The phone number was disconnected. Her name on her tag was Grape-Cee or Grape Cee.
My wife found her listed on petfinder.com and went to she her in Santa Cruz, where the animal shelter folks thought she would have a better chance of being adopted. She was a very frightened little girl in the shelter, but after my wife held her for a while, she settled right down. When she came home, our two other dachsies, Hans and Inga, welcomed her into the pack like a long-lost sister. We renamed her Elsie.
Elsie is a sweet, wonderful dog and a great addition to the pack. Wrestle-mania and wiener races break out all the time and we laugh. It’s been a great adoption and we’re all so pleased Elsie came to live with us.
I’m posting this because someone out there obviously cared for this dog. Now, if they ever search the web for “Grape Cee” - they will have a chance to see this and know that she is in her loving, forever home.
Thanks!
