DoxiePet Clover the Proud Vet visit
Hi all….Clover the Proud reporting.
I feel so much better tonight. I have spent the whole day catching up with my fur family and we have told each other everything that has happened in the 2 years since we have seen each other. Then, this afternoon Grand Paw Chuck took me to see the vet. Dr. Rick was sick, so I got to meet Dr. Michelle. She was so nice. I have been around women almost exclusively since leaving DoxiePets Land that a female doctor was just what I wanted. She poked and stuck things up unmentionable places and took a sample of my blood. I did not like that at all, but she kissed me and it was over real fast. She stuck me with all kinds of pointy thingies and put smelly stuff up my nose. Then she gave Grand Paw Chuck my report.
My temperature was 101.6….perfectly normal
My wellness test showed all my organs to be working properly
My rabies vaccine has been updated and so have all of my other shots.
Now here comes the problem. My weight. No lady likes the world to know how much she weighs, so let’s just say it was under 24 lbs. Well, maybe only a little under, but UNDER none the less! The best news is that I am healthy and strong and ready to take on a new family of humans to train and love. Grand Paw Chuck says he has heard from tat2dbarbie and James and they want me! It feels so good to be wanted.
Now about my Doo! I am going to go to the beauty shop on Wednesday morning. I get the whole spa treatment….after all what does a lady deserve if not the whole spa. Grand Paw Chuck thinks I should have them leave my full drape and clean up my chest blaze and trim it in back and on the sides. Now it sticks out all around like an Elizabethan Collar. He wants my legs trimmed, but not shaven, and my paws cleaned up so they are neat and easy for my new humans to care for. Of course I will get a pedicure.
Now here is the point where Grand Paw Chuck and I disagree. I have this beautiful (in my opinion) Cream Mohawk. Grand Paw Chuck thinks it should be cut back. I think he is an old fuddy duddy. I am a new age dachshie and want to keep my mohawk. I mean, it is bad enough that I have to loose weight, but my MOHAWK? Please tell him to let it stay. You have until Wednesday morning to tell him. PLEASE SAVE THE MOHAWK. Isn’t it as important as the wales?

I say the Mohawk will fit in great with the tattoo’s….wink,wink…Martini has one also…so my vote is for Mohawk..but majority rules….heehee

I’m so happy all went well with your visit to the fur doctors Clover. I was looking at your puppy pics on Grand Paw Chuck’s website and you sure were a cutie. And know what… You still are! Number 1 is you are healthy….and well a bit overweight but that can be corrected (just look at me LOL)
Grand Paw Chuck is the bestest and knows what to do!!!

YAY SIS!!! We’re so glad you got a good report from the Doc. We know you’ll be nice and slim again in no time.
As for the mohawk, well our mom has been known for her outlandish hairdo’s from time to time and we love ‘em. So our vote is to keep it!

MOHAWK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We vote for Mowhawk!!! Grandpaw Chuck is just secretly jealous of all that hair on TOP of your head. He has hair of his own just not on the TOP of his head!
So glad to hear you’re in good health. No doubt you’ll shed the pounds quickly once you get to your furrever home. Hopefully it will be with Barbie and her gang - the more puppies to play with the the more exercise you’ll get!

I think the Mohawk should go. You look like a very Classy Lady to me and the mohawk just won’t fit in. Being a smooth coated Doxie I may be just prejudiced of course!

My son came home, he is 5, and asked what part of your hair goes away if you have a mohawk. LOL
He still has all his hair, but I say…totally…keep the mohawk!

So glad you are getting the treatment at the spa! How nice it is to be a lady, I bet! All I get is my Mama sticking me in the tub and washing me! Keep the mohawk, but please, don’t dye it 4 different colors….we’re trying to totw and we need to be taken seriously! And tell Granpaw Chuck to take pics after wards.

Mowhawk or not you are a beauty. It must run in the family cause mommy calls me gorgeous all the time. Not sure what it means but she says it a lot and usually follows it up with kisses so I like it.
As for you my big sis, I am glad all went well with Dr. Michelle. You are lucky grandpa Chuck loves all his grandbabies forever! Godd luck with the diet. My mommy says diet is a 4 letter word!

Clover be unique and keep the mohawk, I think Chuck is out numbered on this one.
I am pleased that you are in good health and just need to shed a few pounds. I showed your picture to my Mum yesterday and she said “it’s a crying shame that someone has let you get so over weight” if you weren’t so far away my she would have wanted you to come and live with her.
Keep us posted on the beauty treatment.

Clover, we are so glad you made it back to your Doxiepet home to be fluffed and puffed and cared for like the princess that you are. We wonder if a mohawk is becoming on a girl doxie, but maybe you can ask Grandpa Chuck if you can have a ponyhawk in stead. It worked for Sanjaya on Idol! Good luck in going to your new forever home. Thanks all for your votes. The MOHAWK STAYS! (the one that counted most, to me, was my new forever mom’s. Thanks Barbie for siding with me on this one. I owe you big time. Not only for the vote, but for giving me a wonderful home. I can not wait to meet you and my new forever fur and hooman family. PS…..Grand Paw Chuck says he will give in on keeping the MOHAWK, but draws the line at dying it PINK! If we are going to win that one, we have to wait until I am in my new home. (Go to the beauty supply store and get the pink dye…..I am dying to be pure punk!)

Dear Clover — sooooo glad you won that battle & the mohawk stays!! You are a beauty & that just makes you even more distinctive. Thanks, Grandpa Chuck for graciously giving in. And as for your weight … sigh … I, too, have the same problem. Lots of carrots and red peppers (they are nice & sweet) and exercise with your new family. I’ve managed to lose about 20 lbs, you can certainly lose a couple!! Go for it, Clover!!!
