They will not go quietly, the dogs who’ve shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still make us think we hear a barking at the door. Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, that one place in our hearts belongs to them… and always will. Sometimes it helps just to know someone cares… and we do.

That was a beautiful writing Spanky…Jutta knows we share in her hard times and we will be here to continue to cheer on the rest of her fur kids!!!!!

After nearly 5 yeas have passed, and with all the joy that Kurt, Kate, Kristof, Kira and Kinnon bring into my life, I still get tears in my eyes when I see Geri’s picture, or come across something of his. Those of us who have lost a dear friend know just how Jutta is feeling. Well said, Spanky!

Well said Spanky,I still hear Kim’s collar rattle as he shakes himself and it is nearly 2 years since he went to the Rainbow Bridge and Josie my cat brushes against my legs,I always check where the dachsies are when this happens and they are sound asleep.
We are thinking about you at this very sad time.

A beautiful remembrance Spanky. I am sure Harry, Heather and Hugie are mourning the loss of their dear friend, Ridley too. I know they will do all they can to help Jutta during this sad time. We all say a prayer for dear Ridley and that we will all meet him over the Rainbow Bridge.
