Moving update

Well I finally got everything moved into my first apartment yesterday. Whew moving is alot of work! lol. I finally brought the dogs over last night because I wanted to get everything moved in and started putting most of the stuff away before I brought them. Oscar was sooo excited he couldn’t wait to get into the apartment. I let them all sniff around and see what this whole thing was about. Mia has taken to the apartment no problem (she’s a happy-go-lucky puppy), Jaxx was a little worried at first (every noise he’d go run to his crate which tells me he’s nervous), but Oscar the dog i figured would take to the apartment the best is the one thats stressing the most. After he got done sniffing around he just kind of stands there panting really hard (which he does when he’s stressing) he’s following me everywhere I go in the apartment not letting me out of his sight (even the bathroom), he also just lays on the floor looking depressed and staring at me to make sure I’m not going anywhere…poor guy. Anyways last night was our first night in our apartment and all 3 dogs did pretty good they stayed quiet all night long and didn’t wake me to go outside till 9:00. Oscar and Jaxx really seem to like my balcony and slider. They like it that they can see people (i just got to tell them not to bark when someone walks by though lol). But they’ll sit and watch out the slider and if the blinds are pulled across they both poke their heads through so they can see out anyways lol. I just wanted to let everyone know that we’re getting settled into our apartment and trying to get used to calling this home now.

Hay you all enjoy the new place…..
Hint: Wet your tail and wipe the nose prints of the slidding doors also pull some tolite paper off the roll wipe your nose that might help with the prints: Buddy

Nose prints should STAY - it’s their house as much as yours!!!

I don’t know if it’s an option but you can get a panel that fits in a sliding glass door that has a doggie door in the bottom. We don’t have any sliders here (house is too old) but I will absolutely get one if we ever move. NOT that I am hoping to - we last moved 13 years ago and I have NO DESIRE to do so again.

It sounds like you’re all settling in well - it just takes a bit of time.

    Auntie
