Mommy is so mean!!
Ludwig here. Today Alfred and I found a dead mouse on the lawn, it had been dead about a week so it smelled pretty good. Well Alfred and I did what any self respecting dogs would do, we rolled all over it, and then Alfred started to eat it. Well you should have heard mom shout! She made Alfred leave his treat and then decided to wash us! Yech!!! Not even nice warm bathtub baths but cold hose baths!! All the while telling us what disgusting little dogs we were.
After that we smelled like yucky old shampoo but luckily there was plenty of dirt in the back yard for us to roll in to try and cover up that smell. She did try to make up to us, after the hosing off, with some cookies but I think it will take more than a couple of cookies to make up for that!
Humans just don’t understand the simple pleasure of rolling in something dead and smelly:(
She also says that is going to be a long time before “Mr.Mouse Breath” gets to give her any kisses.

Wow! You guys need to do what I do! i have hiding places all over the house when mama gives me a tictac. they help. i have NEVER gotten a cold water bath. it’s in my contract. see? this is what happens when you get caught!
if either of you are still “equipped” to make babies, tell ur mom that cold water baths and hoses will stunt you!

Alfred sounds a bit like my brother Hughie. He is great at hunting down dead mice and our Mum isn’t happy about it. She isn’t keen on the dead frogs either….. Our sister Heather is the one that always gets caught rolling in stuff like that…. so she is the one that suffers baths. If you need any hints on how to catch more dead mice…. then just ask Hughie!

Too funny and too familiar. We live on a farm and there are wwaaayyyy to many smelly things for my 2 doxies to roll in. It happens ALL the time. And they absolutly HATE getting baths. Oh well, doxies need to have fun to!!

You have to be more discrete in future,drag the mouse somewhere out of site of your Mum and then roll onit or chew it,we roll on pigeon poo on Grans grass,it doesn’t show up on Chase but Penny ends up with the “Mallen Streak” on her black coat,I haven’t seen Lois do anything like that yet. Rhuari
