Dachshund Sisters
My husband and I were just married on the 24th of February and of course everyone wants to know when the first child will be. Well since I am still in college there are no plans for children in the near future, though today I realized that isn’t entirley true. No, I am not pregnant but I am the mother of two bouncing baby dachshunds. I realized today just how simlar to human children these girls must be. They are about a month apart exactly at 3 and 4 months and I can just hear their little thoughts. As a matter of fact, the older one beats up on the little one, fairly realsitic of human children and today when I heard the familar rustling of a wrapper they had stolen from the garbage under the bed it was not until the smallest one emerged with it out from under the bed that I was able to catch the two of them in the act. Tell me the oldest wasn’t crossing her arms and yelling at the little one for always getting them into trouble. It seems that poor little Dusty is always the blame and I just can’ believe Alli to be an angel in piebald dachshund disguise. So as far as children, I believe I’ll send out cards annoucing the birth of our two youngins, like those I am always recieving from cousins and the like, and let all the realitives be content with that for awhile. And if anyone needs a baby fix they are more than welcome to come over and let the girls chew on their fingers for awhile.

Proof… while Dusty was caught doing this:
Her older sister was looking like this:

Haaaa!!!! You are so right about doxies being like hooman babies. Precious Poppa and I were not blessed with children so Annabel and Brownie are even more precious to us.
I even found a great bumper sticker, it says ….
If I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet, I’ll put shoes on my dog!
Your “babies” sure are cute!!!
