Kurt Reports Chuck’s Recovery Progress

Hi all, and woofies! Herr Kurt reporting on a long overdue update on our human Chuck’s progress.

As you all know about 7 weeks ago our human had surgery on his leg. He is doing well, but still is not allowed to sit at the computer desk for very long at a time. He had a slight relapse a week and a half ago and I have had to assign Kinnon the task of keeping him in his chair again. The silly human tried to help move furniture before he was ready and has re-opened one of his incissions. He is on the mend again, though, and will back pestering the entire dachshund community soon. I also confess that I had other things on my mind or else I probably would have been able to keep him down. You see, Kate has been in season and, well, I have not been thinking with my large head! That is past also and so I am back on the job! No there will be no DoxieKinder this time around. We can not risk the well being of our human with a litter of puppies at this time. He has another operation (on the other leg) scheduled for October and this is just not the right time to have puppies at DoxiePets land. (That does not mean that I would not have tried, but Daddy Chuck and Daddy Danny kept Kate in her crate and I did not have the opportunity!)

Anyway, Chuck wants all of you to know that he is 1) not dead; 2) has not abandoned the HotDogBlog forever and 3) will be back as soon as I give him clearance. Now I am going to go and make sure he stays in his recliner in a position where his wound can heal completely so he can be back among us. Kinnon will be on his lap again.

Love you all
Herr Kurt, Proud and Brave
Laird of the Clan DoxiePet

Chuck what a naughty human you are for going against Dr’s orders and MOVING FURNITURE ! ! !

Don’t scare us like that again! Glad you’re doing better and please join us as soon as you can. (But not too soon)

    Love from your distant relative,
    Rocky

Chuck………Stay down………..No more lifting and moving things around. Behave yourself we want to see you better so you can get back on here and crack us up again.

Hello Herr Kurt I’m wondering are you and your human german? My mom and I are, she is originally from Jena Germany she came here when she was 2 years old, that is the East side or it was.
my mom and I don’t know your human cause we are fairly new here at the Blog.
Tell your human my mom and I wish for a speedy recovery and to STAY in recliners NOT move them!!!
The nerve of him trying to stop you from dating Kate…Parents are like that!!!
Looks like you have your hands full taking care of human Chuck, maybe he is just in a bad mood because he has to stay put soo long…my mom gets that way…I know…PARENTS…(sigh) they are a handful are’nt they?

    Take Care!

    Oscar and my mom

Sheesh! Hoomans! It is so hard to teach them “sit” and “stay”! My goodness, do the FrostyDachs need to all come down there and put daddy Chuck on a lead so he’ll stay put? I bet if we all sat on him together he wouldn’t get up! LOL! Course, I don’t know about getting any blood circulated to that leg! Mommy complains about her leg almost every night on the couch when half of us pile in her lap and almost push her leg off onto the floor!

Well keep up the good work DoxiePets and make daddy Chuck behave.

    Your pals, the FrostyDachs

I agree with the FrostyDachs … Chuck! SIT! STAY!! H-E-A-L !!!

(Glad Herr Kurt posted, I was thinking about you yesterday and starting to worry. Think good thoughts, pet Kinnon, and for heaven’s sake … do NOT go against your doctor’s orders!) Hugs.

Chuck don’t you know you’re supposed to look under the sofa CUSHIONS for loose change??? NOT under the sofa itself??? How MANY times do we have to tell you this?

Seriously, we are all thrilled to bitty bits that you are well on your way to a wonderful recovery. It must be going superbly well for you to go through the same thing again in October.

Three Cheers for Chuck and the DoxiePet Gang and most especially DANNY!!!!

    Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

    Auntie and the Doxhoonts!

  7. Comment by Ludwig's Mom:

Glad to hear that things are healing well, I was wondering since it had been so long since we heard from the doxiepets.

  8. Comment by Harry:

We were getting worried because you have been away so long…. it looks as if Kinnon gave up his lap-sitting duties a bit too soon. Glad he’s back on the job!
Poor Kurt…. but it is for the best! Kate needs a rest after the last trauma…. and I don’t think that your Daddies need puppies just at the moment.

All you Doxiepets need to make sure that your Daddy Chuck doesn’t do anything which he shouldn’t, so that he can speed his recovery, and get all of you back to the HDB. We miss you all.

    Harry, Hughie and Heather

  9. Comment by Clan Haggart:

  11. Comment by Baxters Mom:

Glad to hear you have not fallen off the edge of the earth Chuck! We have missed you on the HDB.
Please refrain from moving any more furniture and let the DoxiePets do their job of helping you heal and be back on the pc soon!

    Love, Baxter and Bette
