Nervous about leaving my babies…
Okay…some short history here…I go back to where I grew up as often as I can to see family…it’s about 2 hours away. So, my sister has a new house and hasn’t been a dog person in a long time, so my two boys aren’t welcome. Hey, some people just aren’t smitten with dachsies as the rest of us and I can respect that. So, this weekend is a long trip. We are leaving today and coming back Sunday.
Whew…I have a friend that is going to take the boys and keep them at her house while we are gone. I’m just worried…I know she will take wonderful care of them, but she has three kids one of which loves to pick up Romy. She truely is the only one that can watch them. I thought of leaving them here and having her come here, but they would have to stay outside all day and in all night. I don’t think that would work, plus that’s alot of trips for her. I’m always worried, too, that someone will take Romy from the yard. We live on a corner with a chain link fence.
I know things will be fine, I’m just nervous about it all and leaving them for so long is gonna kill me!

I know exactly how you feel. I am leaving my boys from Saturday till Tuesday, and I am worried as well. Even though we know their being left in good hands, it still is hard. Just try and enjoy yourself, and be like me and call and check on how things are going a couple times a day:)))) Bobbi
