Forum hog
Sorry guys that I have been such a forum hog the past few days. The Hot Dog Blog has been such a positive place when the rest of my world seemed to be falling apart. Thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all of your prayers, PMs, emails and constant support and wonderful thoughts for River.
He continues to improve and I feel sure now that he will be coming home!!!! We have missed him so much and one thing is for sure, when we get him back he is going to be at the top of the list for MOST spoiled doxie of all time!!! The girls can’t wait to get their hands on him and I can’t wait to kiss his sweet little face.
When your doxies drive you crazy, like they do sometimes, remember River and reach down and give them a hug. I promise, if one day they were suddenly not there you will wish you did.
I noticed today when I was giving updates on River that we had several new members that joined yesterday and today I haven’t had a lot of time to welcome them all so I just wanted to say WELCOME to everyone and just know that there is no other place on line where you will find this many loving, caring, dachshund owners in one place. These guys are the best!!!

How could we not put our hands and paws together to ask for a blessing on your baby? what a cutie he is! We feel blessed to have your own family on the blog…at least I do for sure! Sure hope you continue to “hog, and blog” with more stories bcuz they are gonna get better and we want to hear em!

Tia I am so glad to here River is on his way to recovery. It wont be long now. I for one want to say a BIG thank you for posting your story. This fall my husband and I were planning on bringing in a truck load of soil to fill in a garden spot that has began to sink. I will be very careful where that dirt comes from. My pups to have had there shots but as you have proved to us…. Stuff still happens. Again THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Hi Tia, even though I don’t know you and River, I am So glad to hear he is going to be ok!! My Duchess favors your River. What would we do with out our fur babies?

I am glad I posted throughout this ordeal also. It really helped me to have something to do besides sit by the phone. I also posted all that I did, hoping that if anyone else was unlucky enough to get this stuff they would know what to look for and to get to the Vet ASAP. Untreated a parvo puppy can die in as little are 48 hours. I sincerly appreciate every post, comment, PM and email. You guys are awesome!!! River continues to improve! I will update tomorrow with his progress.

Awwww Tia, You brought tears to my eyes, don’t ever think you are hogging the blog that’s what we are here for if not to help each other in crisis.
We all love your River and see him as ours, I for one can sleep alittle better tonight knowing he can come home to see his mommy and sisters.
I am sure you and your daughters are itching to hug and kiss on him…What a cutie
And you are so right in the short time I have on here I have alot of love.
