Goose racing a real success (well sort of) and our new $600 couch
Well what a weekend we had. Started out we got to KC about 6 pm Friday night. We got to our suite which was very nice. Got settled in took all three kids on a walk, came back to room and got ready to go get something to eat.
We returned 1 1/2 hours later to two pees and one poop, no big deal because we left pee pads down. But then we noticed some foam on the floor then we seen it. A hole in the arm of the couch. We knew instantly which one it had to of been (Maxy). Well Jessi was completely stressed out. We called the front desk and the guy said he was low man on the tottem pull to call back in the morning. So in the morning Jessi called and they were sending someone down. He came and looked at it and told us couldn’t be fixed (thanks we knew that last night). They had just got 54 new pull out couchs last month and he thought is was about $400 dollars. He went to find the invoice and called back with a new price of $600. It is not that bad of a hole about two inch diameter and can be covered with arm covers. Luckily we had driven our crew cab truck instead of Jessi’s car. We told them if we were paying for a new one we were taking it with us, so we did. LOL, so we have a memento from our first out of town trip with Maxy now known as “Maxy’s couch”.
On to the races, Lucy got lots of compliments but Sunny got the most. One lady was looking at all the doxies around and pointed to Sunny and said, I would take the great big one over there, he is gorgeous. Lucy was a little frazzeled but had a great time, she got last but was so adorable doing it. She trotted down the track and when she got to the end where I was one of the ladys working there walked towards her and Lucy turned around and took off RUNNING full speed the other way. I had to chase her half way back down the track before she heard me yell at her, when she knew it was me she stopped. Of course by then everyone trackside was laughing at the little thing thinking she was funny.
Before we even left the parking lot all 3 were asleep and didn’t wake up the whole 3 hour trip.
It was a lot of fun even with Maxy’s new couch involved.

This gave me a great giggle about the couch. Just be thankful a tire off a Lambroghini sports car wasn’t chewed!! We hope you have fun at the races anyway!

Oh, Maxy — in the future, when you decided to bring a souvenir back home, BRING A TENNIS BALL, NOT A SOFA!!!! ROFLOL!! You may not have won your race, Lucy, but I bet EVERYONE watching remembers YOU, not the winner!! Way to go, girl!

Couldn’t you just bring home the little bottles of shampoo like everyone else?
Lucy might not have come in first in the race but I am sure she is still a winner!

Wow Maxy, when you do it, you do it good. Good thing your mom and dad have a sense of humor and a deep pocketbook. And everyone will remember you Lucy, not the winner. What fun you must have had!
