The only way he could be long is if both parents carried long and the long genes from each got together. Were you told by the breeder he could be long???
To be sure of getting a long get a pup from 2 long parents with NO smooth in their backgrounds.
He looks cute, won’t be long before he is home with me.
He looks smooth to me too. Even the pups I had in a mixed coat litter who I thought were long but turned out smooth had longer looking hair than he does. Pretty safe bet he’s smooth. Very cute baby though. So is Oscar!
we have had long hairs when we breed 2 short hairs together several times so I guess one of them must have lh in there back ground.I think its on our oldest breeder..I think her grand mom was lh.

Sooth hair is a dominant genetic characteristic, so if both parents are smooth hair, then its a fairly safe bet that he will be too.
