Hey,
Well I finally found a male puppy I am absolutely in love with. He’s a smooth haired chocolate boy and is extremely tiny. He’s 7 weeks old and I’m going to wait until he’s atleast 9 weeks old. I got McKenzie at less than 8 and realized she was WAY too young, McKayla on the other hand was grown up at almost 9 weeks… so I guess it is on the individual basis…. anyway…. I’m really excited to have my third weiner coming soon but was wondering how everyone with full time jobs deal with raising a puppy. When I raised McKayla, I had help from my parents and I stayed home since I’ve had McKenzie, but between me and my fiance I work 40 hour weeks and he 30 hours along with taking classes. I guess I’m just going to have to organize our schedules to make sure someones there most of the times or that we’re only gone 2-3 hours at a time. I’ve also been thinking about getting another girl. I’ve been through potty training twice and KNOW this little boy won’t be the last doxie. So would it be easier to potty train two at the same time? The little girl is a isabella and tan girl shes currently 10 weeks old and is beautiful. Lots of things to think about…. I think I should go to the doctor because I have doxie fever!

Ain’t no cure for Doxie Fever…the only help for it is to keep on getting Doxies!! :) I started out with 1…I now have 4! :)

I couldn’t agree more - there is no cure for dachshund fever and the only way to keep the symptoms under control is to have as many as you possibly can!

Well, I’ve gotten my share for the summer - Pippi is my dream baby. I don’t know about training two being harder or easier. It probably makes little difference. I’m a teacher, and I just went back to school this week. Pippi is NOT happy, but she has her two sisters to help show her the “Mommy’s working” ropes. Thankfully, I work two days one week and three the next. I have a job share partner. Good luck with whatever you decide. Pippi has been worlds easier to train than Heidi, so you never really know how it’s going to work out.
