Lucy & the Squirrel

I bring Lucy to work with me and leave her on a running chain under a big oak tree. I went to check on her, and as I stepped out the back door a large squirrel (about the size of her) scooted along the ground. I looked at Lucy and she was in her kennel starring at me. I called to her, but she wouldn’t come out of her kennel. Guess the squirrel had been visiting her territory and she thought that was an odd looking creature!

    Oh my Lucy,
What a terrifying experience!!!To bad you were in your kennel cause you could have chased it and caught it and had lunch!!! I get in trouble for chasing baby rabbits and catching them which is not a pretty site!!! Good Luck in the future!!

    Luv,
    Fancy

A squirrell the size of a Doxie. That is a big squirrell even for a little pup. Sasha would have layed down and shivered with fright. Good for you, Lucy, staying far far away from it.

Oh my goodness…Hey! I remember when I was a mere pup of ample size, I was outside and saw a squirrel and chased it…RIGHT INSIDE THE HOUSE!!!
I thought mommy would be HAPPY of my acomplishment but instead she picked me up and had my human brother take me somewhere safe. And mommy was so scared of the squirrel and did’nt know how to get him out she was sitting on top of the washer and trying to get the squirrel out from behind the water heater and he ran out the front door!!! It was GREAT FUN….But mommy did’nt think so!! I don’t know why!!

We don’t have huge squirrels like you…. ours are cute little red ones, which are rare and very shy. If you need protecting Lucy…. I could send you 3 brothers……….
