The “sticker”

We went visiting yesterday and one of the places that we went to was an old farm place. I let Lucy ramble around the yard as we were strolling about. After visiting the old farm place we went to another friends house and visited there for awhile. I put Lucy on her chain as they had a dog and I didn’t know how their dog would react to Lucy. I gave her a bowl of water and some food and she just kinda sniffed and looked at it. Last night she wouldn’t eat or drink anything and she was trembling, so I wrapped her up in her doggie blankie and held her till she went to bed. This morning she still wouldn’t eat or drink anything and was trembling. I Was Concerned - Worried! ‘Cause she wouldn’t really play much either. She was kinda smacking her lips so Gene looked into her mouth, and oh my goodness, there was a briar with 3 thorns stuck across in her mouth. I felt so bad! He removed it and now she’s back to normal - eating, drinking and most of all her energetic little self!

Wow! This really amazes me.Jake and jack were neutered and they were nothing like this. You would not have even known they had been to the vet at all. They were not groggy came home same day everything.I think I remember saying he was quite groggy at first and all.I dont know but I think the vet should have done something different with his incision, plus we couldnt even tell where it was.I think he should have stiched it and bandaged it ,so he couldnt get to it.MPO

I realize some dogs can be a problem but this just seemed uncalled for.I think I would get a different vet.Remember just my opinion

I am glad she will be ok. Some Doxies eat everything. My Doxies have gotten sticks in their mouths. No wonder she would not eat.
    Take care. DoxieloverJoan
