I saw Santa Paws!
Sasha here. I had a great day today. I didn’t think it was going to be since it started with a shower. Mommy said I had to look pretty today, but didn’t know why. We went on a car ride to a pet store called PetSmart. It is like Petco, but they have more cookies there. heehee. I got a cookie while I was waiting in line for santa. There was so many kinds of animals there. There was a lady in front of us with a dog mommy called a snowzer and a pit bull. Mommy and I didn’t like the looks of the pit bull cause he kept licking his chops when he looked at me. Mommy held me tight. Then, behind us there was a little kitty. She was cute. Then, a young girl and her new pet turtle. There was so much to see. My back end was doing the happy tail dance in quadruple time. When I got on Santa’s lap he could barly hold me I was so excited. He held on tight and Mommy told me to sit. So I did reluctently. They squeaked and shaked this rattly toy, but I was not interrrested. Santa asked if I was a good doggie this year, and Mommy laughed. I have been as good as a doxie pup can be haven’t I? He asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I wishpered it to him so mommy couldn’t here, but she knew anyways. She said, a new bobo. Well, while we were waiting for my photo to be printed. We watched the kitty get her picture taken, and they had this cool magic wand thing with a string and a feathered toy on the end. Now that was cool. I was so excited about that toy. I was practicly jumping out of Mommy’s arms to get to it. Well, mommy got the picture, and she said I needed a new collar, and I can pick out one new toy for being so good with Santa. Well, she took me down the toy isle and got let me pick. Of, course. I picked a blue bobo on the bottom rack. It was just what I wanted. Mommy was looking while I smelled my new bobo. And one of the workers came up and asked mommy if I could have a cookie. She said yes, and that was cookie number two. We were checking out with the cashier and I got cookie number 3. We loaded up in the car. Grandpa was driving so Mommy had me on her lap in the back seat. We made a couple little stops here or there and Mommy stayed in the car with me. Then, we stopped at a hamburger stop to get some lunch to go, and well my tummy didn’t feel so good. I got sick all over mommy’s coat and pants. She wasn’t mad, and she was pleased that I didn’t get any on me or my fancy sweater that has to be hand washed. Well, long story I know. Shower, Santa, new bobo, Cookie over load, Car ride, and puke all in one morning. Oh, and my picture with Santa is in the photo section incase anyone wants to see.

Wow Sasha, you sure had an eventful morning. Maybe if you didn’t have the shower your tummy wouldn’t have gotten upset. Tell your mommy that. Too many cookies would NEVER cause that!

Sounds like you had a very eventful day Sasha!
Tell your mommy that you need to sit in the front seat to look out the window when you ride in the car. She may not know that doxies (and doggies) need to see out the window so they don’t get car sick.
Tell her you won’t spill your cookies if you see out the car window next time!

Wow… what a great day! We don’t think that we have Santa Paws over here…. or at least Heather has never seen him. Maybe you could ask him to pop across the pond to visit us too? There are loads of us dachsies over here….. and tell him to pop over to Kent to see Rose’s two, and up to Liverpool to see Rhuari, Chase and Lois.

PS A new Bobo would be high on our wish list too!
