she has a problem where she craves attention 24/7. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
she whines at the door, barks and growls under her breath.
always licking and being annoying.
why does she need the attention all the time?
i love her though, shes awesome.
and I want her to be happy

Sounds like a regular dachshie to me lol!!
Mine just a pup and exactly like that, but hes usually not annoying unless hes chewing on something my toddler gave to him.

Jelly is pretty good about entertaining himself…. he sleeps! Or he chews on his toys, etc. When he is bored, he dances around for attention. If he doesn’t get what he wants, he starts barking! I think this is typical behavior of a doxie! Good luck!

Yes, Dachsies do love attention, especially puppies, but it may also be from stress or anxiety.
Some dogs lick a lot from stress.
Is there something like a big dog in your house or small children that might be causing Delilah some anxiety?

Chew toys may help. Doxies can be a little (OK - a LOT) jealous and possessive too. That may be a factor! Good luck - Ruth and Daisy

Tootsie fits this discription to the T! She craves attention 24/7, whines, wimpers, if I put her down she cries until I pick her back up. In the morning as I’m leaving for work, she hears me grab my keys and goes bazark because she knows I am leaving. It’s typical doxie behavior..they are cuddle bugs!! I love it

oh yes i thought i had the same “problem” but don’t worry they get better as they get a lil’ older plus i just got my lil’man fixed and that melowed him out big time. they love giving us lovin!

Yup, she’s a doxie all right. If I’m not sleeping I want to have mommy’s attention all the time. I bark if I can’t see her. When she goes away she gives us Kongs to distract us. We know what she is doing, but the Kongs are filled with goodies so we can’t help ourselves.
