Picture posting????

I am still really confused on what is acceptable or not, reading Tia’s last post really confused me. If you can’t post pictures of a dog you own that might be bred even though it is your pet as well?
For example, I show some of my dogs, example: I show Mocha, she is intact, if she finishes her championship I intend to breed her to have another show quality dog for us to own/show and strive for a top line of show dachshunds. The pups I do not keep, I will sell as pets……does that mean because I may breed her in the future and sell pups I do not keep………can I not post pictures of her at shows, in the snow, cute stuff, you know?????
I do not nor have I ever bred as a business or for profit, only for obtaining a dog for my showing purposes, yet they have more than one pup I’ll keep and will sell the others. I may breed one litter every 3/4 years, does that exclude me posting pictures of my babies that sleep in my bed every night. I have bred Grace a couple years ago, show her, and may or may not breed her again……..so I can’t post pictures of her????
I don’t get it????
I don’t have a web site to sell pups and would not offer any pups on this site for sale, and no plans on any breedings until maybe 2009 or not, so can I post pictures of my dogs or not?????????
I like no advertising pups for sale, but Todd also needs to stop the advertising of outsiders in the ads that appear here as well. Don’t allow the pup for sale ad’s and yes he can choose who is allowed to advertise on the site!
But if you show your dog, they must remain intact and the possibility of breeding that dog exists, that is what the confirmation shows are all about, so do we ban pictures of our dogs showing and winning???? To be able to proudly post your dogs accomplishments should be allowed. I can see, not posting pictures of a planned breeding between this and that dog to announce how great the pups would be, of course. But if you have a pet/show dog and post it’s picture????????
This needs to be clarified??????

I may be wrong, but I think it means that you can’t post pictures of puppies and announce that they are for sale.

I feel pretty sure he means no pictures of any dogs or puppies that are being sold or will be sold in the future, ie: you have a litter of pups and are going to sell them you can not post pictures of them here even if you just say, look guys are these cute? I also don’t think he would penalize any of us for posting pictures of adults that are our beloved pets who may have babies at some point in the furture. Just no advertisements for future breedings and pup announcements.

I hope people still post puppy pics.
    I love looking at them.

I usually sit back and just take in all the “drama”. But, Dottie I totally hear you! The way I read it you are prohibited from posting pics of any dog you plan to breed at any time now or in the future. That means, any female that is still intact; any male that is still intact. Rules, Schmools, there are getting to be way too many rules that go unexplained and seem ilogical. I have asked for an explanation from Cleo, but have not received any response. I have always loved seeing the daring little babies and fantasize about getting my 4th dachshund baby. It always seemed like this was like one big family and we all shared our experiences and our furbabies. Now we are told, NO, NO, NO.

BTW, here is a great site for dachsie owners. No problems posting pups for sale or wanted, etc. Very informative site. And, very friendly, I will add.

    Check it out
