Wow… We’re Bad Parents!!! ~Long~
We're the worse parents ever!!!! The night before last Annie wanted to go outside to go potty. We are ALWAYS out there with her but I ran in to grab a jacket cause my sweater wasn't enough. As soon as I grabbed the door handle to go back out "YELP YELP YELP!!!!!" Annie had been hurt. We're not sure exactly what happened, but we rushed her to emergency and they hauled her back. They said it looked like our other dog, Bentley, had probably been playing too rough and kind of swatted her. Well, he "swatted" her eye and head. Mind you he is 135lbs. she had a hemorrhage and was bleeding so much. It tore into her sinuses and now she has nosebleeds. Her sight will be fine and she will be normal, however she gets to come to work with me the rest of the week(which she LOVES). Nick & I can't believe this happened. We wish we knew exactly what had happened, but I guess we need to be more careful. Just wanted to let everyone know about our last couple days. I'll post pre & post "swatted" face in a few.

OUCH! I am glad Annie is OK. I think our dogs someimes don’t know their size and accidents happen! Hugs, Ruth and Daisy

Aww I’m sorry this happened! We hope Annie is feeling better. Getting to go to work with mom will help of course!

Even if you had been there, it could still have happened. Just be grateful that she’ll be ok and don’t “beat yourselves up” over the incident.

Accidents happen and from the sounds of things this one probably would have happened even if you were there so don’t beat yourself up. At least she will be okay. Plus going to work with mommy for a week is a bonus for her.

That’s why they call them ACCIDENTS! I think we’ve all had moments of bad doggie parenthood at one time or another.
Give Annie some extra lovin’ and watch that she doesn’t become afraid around her big brother Bentley.
A week at work with Mommy does sound like an extra special treat.

I second Laura! It’s an accident and it sounds like Annie is a very lucky girl.
