Just want to put this out there for all to see

Some of you might remember me writing a post about my neice boarding her 4lb chihuahua, he’s 8 months old? She went to Las Vegas on 2/1 with family. Me and my hubby were suppose to go, but we decided to stay home. My neice whose name is Shannon decided to board Macho at her local vet/boarding facility because she was going to also have him neutered and microchipped. The facility lost her puppy, they took Macho outside to do his business on 2/1 at 6pm, and he got scared when the employee went to bring him back inside, got out of the collar, and he took off running, and hasn’t been seen since:( It’s bad enough this facility lost Shannon’s puppy, but they didn’t contact her dad, who was listed as the emergency contact, for almost 15hrs, they called him on 2/2 at 1000 to say Macho had run away the evening before. Now why they waited is something I would love to know, but my guess is that they were desperately searching for him, hoping to find him, and then they wouldn’t have to make the call? My neice has done everything in her power to find Macho, posting flyers by the hundreds, knocking on doors for an entire week, asking people if they had seen her puppy running around. Her story was on our local news channel as well, it aired 3 days after Macho went missing. The facility that is responsible for this has been somewhat helpful, they made up flyers and put them in the city newspaper that came out today, and in the beginning did help Shannon look for him. I’m sure they feel horrible for what has happened, surely it wasn’t done on purpose, but they are still liable for what has happened to Macho, at least that’s how I feel. It’s unlikely that Macho has survived since he ran away, we had some below zero temps for a couple days and nights last week, but hopefully someone either turned him in to a shelter or rescue place, or someone has him and doesn’t want to give him up. I have checked every rescue shelter I can think of, checked humane societies, and animal control, and nobody has seen Macho. The reason for me posting on here is because of all the members on this site who live in various states. If by some chance you stop at a rescue shelter or humane society, maybe just browse quick to see if you see a little chihuahua. If you have heard of someone recently adopting a chihuahua, maybe a friend, neighbor, anyone, please let me know. He could be in any state at this point, that is if he survivied. There is a 10 day waiting period, then the animal is allowed to be sent wherever, so it’s possible he’s no longer in MN. I’ve attached two pics of Macho, and his most distinguishing mark is the white patch of fur on his chin. Thanks in advance. I didn’t know if I should post this here or in the forums. Oh my Bobbi. I will definitely continue to pray for your niece and her family. This whole thing is just so sad. I can’t get over it. I will keep my eyes open for this baby…like you said you never know where he could be.
