Today is the day!!

I’m so excited!! I am leaving in about an hour to head to the airport to pick up CALI! WOOHOOO! I have my doggie pick-up survival gear ready: a blankie, some toys, a harness and collar, a leash, some water, some wash cloths “just in case”, a towel, and of course some treats! I got an email from her “old” mommy earlier today. Cali should be at the airport by now and getting ready to head south.

Cross your paws for a smooth trip for her and for me… we’ll be traveling home in FRIDAY rush hour Atlanta traffic, oh and its raining! Everyone in Atlanta forgets how to drive when it rains.

I’ll be posting pictures tonight. I took some of Cooper last night and this morning… his last moments as an only child! haha

   Yay!!! Congratulations!!! We’ll keep our fingers & paws crossed that everything goes smoothly from the pickup to the drive home and most importantly the introduction! I’m sure Cooper will love his new sis - it might take him a lil time to warm up, but I bet they will be great together! Can’t wait to see the pics!!!

   Congrat, and how exciting for you:)) I actually talked with Deb this morning, and yes Cali is on her way:)) I just know you will fall in love with her, and it sounds like you are going well prepared:)) Can’t wait to hear how things go, and see pics:)) Remember to introduce them on neuteral territory first, and I bet they get along just great:))) Can’t wait to see her and Cooper together:)) Bobbi

   So very happy for you!!!! We got a new baby girl last Friday, she is 8 weeks old and very sweet. We almost named her Cali too, (I was born and raised in California) but we changed it to Kizzie. Boogey our 1 year old loves to play with her but plays a little rough so we have to keep a close eye on them. We had a ton of rain here to in Alabama…….good luck………….Kim and Boogey

   So I am sitting at the air cargo facility right now. Someone has gone to get her off the flight. Just 15 (or so) more minutes!!!

   I’m trying to decide where she can potty. Not alot of grass!!

   So excited!!!!

   We’re home!! Cali has met Cooper and no major issues, so I’m thankful. She’s a tired baby girl so she’s sleeping right now. I am pretty tired myself. I’ll post pictures and give details tomorrow.

   I’m so happy to be home!!
