I almost gave mommy a heartattack…….so she says
Well……so I and my friend/aunt(I guess) Lillie got free roam of the house today cause Mommy was at home sick and Grandma had to clean our room. We LOVE having free roam of the house,we get to play with my sister,Tusox, and that mean old cat…..but it is SO MUCH FUN!
Anyway,Mom says I have no obidience(whatever that is),so here is the story……
Grandma opened the door to go outside and as soon as we heard that squeaky sound,we knew……..OUTSIDE TIME!!……SO Lillie and I both, zoomed past grandma, despite momma calling my name.
It was just so nice outside,I forgot to get my leash on and there was NO WAY I was going back inside to get it,so off I ran. Down to the fence, under the car, over to the cat,by this time mom had ran outside to help grandma chase me,which I thought was fun,so I kept running!I heard mom say I would be fine as long as I stayed away from the road…….ROAD…what’s that?
Whelp, long story short,I headed right for the road, mommy was screaming my name and something about cars coming(whatever that means)a few seconds later I noticed that grandpa was home from work,so I ran to greet him!! Too bad he picked me up and made me go back inside!!!
Mom says she’s glad grandpa got home when he did, otherwise I probably would have been hit by one of those car things and she would have had a heartattack!!
All I can say is……I hated having to go back inside, but I’m glad that mommy is ok,even though I am in trouble for not minding!!
Anyway, that is my adventure for today!

Hey Abbey…. we’ve done that too! Only we were on a double lead together, and our human cousin couldn’t hold us… we are SO strong! We rushed across the road, with Mum and Helena running after us. Talk about fun!!!! We got rather tangled up on the other side of the road, so we had to stop and then we were caught. Pity we were on a lead, otherwise we would have got much further. Mum is now determined to take us to training classes….. Is this a good idea we ask ourselves?

Yikes that is VERY VERY scary! Good thing you love Grandpa so much that you always run to him right away!
Mean Mommy is so glad we live far away from the busy road but we DO live right along a private road with some very careless drivers. Luckily we bark at them a lot so they don’t forget we’re here.
Now STOP scaring Mommy like that!

I have not escaped (yet), but my big mutt siblings have! Mommy usually “catches” them by opening up her car door - they run and jump in for a ride! Glad you are OK! Don’t scare your mommy again!

Roads are not a good thing for us little doxies. I ran right across the road once to get the mailman and mommy alsmost had a heart atack too. And I got a good (bad?) scolding.

I’m too little to escape yet, but I heard that is how mommy’s last doxie puppy, Shawty, died. A lot of those car things go by our house really fast! Be careful.

So glad you are o.k. I did that to Mommy once and when she caught me, she held me real tight and cried. (Why she do that? silly Mommy)
