Such a shock

I found a growth on Saturday evening on Lois’s ear, it is only tiny and right on the bottom edge,I don’t know how I missed it because I groom regularly and when they are on my lap I play with their ears and run my fingers through their coat.

We are off to the vets this afternoon to find out what the problem is and hopefully it is nothing serious as I have had sleepless night last night and worried all the time at work on Saturday night.

I will let you know what happens at the vets.

Ohhh Rhona we surely hope it is nothing serious!!! How could you not be worried? Annabel had an ugly growth on the inside of her ear near the opening. It was very worrying but turned out to be nothing but a small cyst in a hair follicle.

We’ll keep all fingers and paws crossed for a positive outcome!

Love, Laura, Annabel Brownie & Freddie!

We have just got back from the vets, he couldn’t be sure what the growth was,he gave me 2 options, have a needle biopsy[£45] in the hopes of getting enough cells to test and then removing it later regardless of the result or having the growth removed and examined[£115], I don’t believe in lining the vets pockets twice so will be going for the second option.

Lois had a bit of a raised temp and nasal discharge today so will be on a course of antibiotics for a week and then booked in for the surgery.

Will keep you informed as to what happens.

I think option two is the best as well. It must have come on suddenly because surely you would have noticed this sooner? I will keep you and Lois in my prayers, but hopefully it’s nothing more than just a fatty deposit of some sort. Sounds like she needs a little TLC now, so I’m sure you will be busy with that, but hopefully she feels better soon. Bobbi

Rhona, Paolo had this and i took him to the vets. They said it was just a sebacious gland. It disappeared. I was so worried but it just went away. Hope Lois is ok x

Smokey had a thing pop up right under his left eye. They took it off, he is fine and it hasn’t grown back. But we’ll be pryaing for Lois anyway!

Rhona try not to worry. Most of the time these are nothing serious. We think of you and the gang often.
