My parent’s are home.. and I’m still mad
I am mad… my mom and dad are home, well I am glad they are home but they didn’t tell me they were leaving or that I was going to Nanny and Papa’s house with my older homan brother Seth.
So… here is what happened at our house… Mon. morning my parents got up at 3am, I know it was 3 because my mom said, my God it’s 3 already? So they left me, in the bed of course,all by myself. So later that evening, my older brother Seth came home but with Nanny and Papa, and they asked me if I wanted to go bye bye with them. Well, shoot yeah!! I know what bye bye means. So nanny gathered up my favorite foods and toys and took me and Seth to her house. I asked her where mommy and daddy were but she don’t know how to speak doxie, so she didn’t get it. So I waited and they didn’t come. Get this…they wanted me to spend the night…….now I don’t mind a good visit of spoiling but when it’s time to go to bed, I want my DADDY!! I thought I had been adopted by my grandparents because I was there for 4 whole days, and nanny said we were going bye bye again… oh well I guess that’s ok, and she packed up my goodies again.. I was starting to get nervous by now… where were they sending me??
I got to go home, and who do I see??? My mommy…… I ignored her. Looked for my daddy, there he was lying in the bed with a big cut on his knee, mommy said something about knee replacement surgery for daddy, since I don’t know what a knee is, I don’t care. So I looked at him and said humf… got in papa’s lap and ignored them. Don’t tell them, but when I am over this mad spell, I am gonna lick them real good. You know I could have went to the vet’s with them…..they go with me.
I will tell you more about my trip later. I think Daddy needs me to look in on him… I may even jump on that big knee just to see if he really loves me….

Awww Duchess!! How sad for you to have to go through all that. But you know I bet it would make daddy really happy to see you and make him feel MUCh better to get some snuggles in! I know when i am feeling bad there is nothing to make me better but then my doxies come in and I feel so much better!! So cave just a little and give Daddy a snuggle!!

Oh Duchess, be careful with Daddy’s knee!! Give him some extra luv cuz he definitely deserves it! And try and be nice to your Momma too! Sorry you had to go to your Nanny and Papa’s, but I am sure that wasn’t too terribly rough on you! Hang in there!

Okay Duchess so here’s the deal about not being able to go to the hooman vet with daddy and mommy. Although WE are very accustomed to being seen naked (well except for our fur) HOOMANS aren’t! They are very self-conscious about their bodies because they are sooo funny looking compared to ours and so they don’t feel comfortable naked like us doxies.
You wouldn’t want to embarrass your precious poppa now would you?
Don’t stay mad at him OR mommy - they need your extra special doxie-loving right now more than ever. In addition to having superior physiques, no complexes about going through life naked, we also have miraculous healing powers so PUT THEM TO WORK on daddy’s KNEE!
