Taking the good with the not so good……………..

Last night we decided to take a walk. The one snow of the season had melted by noon and the sun was still out.
We got to the halfway point of our walk when we noticed Daisy walking funny? Was it a limp??? Hard to tell. Something was off.
I leaned over to pick her up, with two hands of coarse, and she let me with no questions.
She had not asked me to carry her in weeks. Since her first walk after surgery actually.
So I carried her home with tears in my eyes and worry in my heart.
Once we got home they all got their treats and I laid Daisy down. She stayed put for the night. When it was time for pre bed potties she seemed to walk ok.
This morning I think she looked fine from the get go and then maybe a bit stiff.
I have sent her to bed. She is once again staying put. I’ll work on snuggle sacks which I do at the table. And her pillow (well, one of many) is right by there.
I’ll watch her like a hawk.
Because I can.
Because I can’t let her hurt.
Because I love her.
