My introduction
Hello,
I had the joy of meeting some of you on chat tonight and you were all of great assistance and so nice. Thank you! My name is Summer, I’m from west central PA and I am 21. I have four dogs right now, Cookie who is going to be four in june. She is a shelter pup mix. I have Roxy whom I rescued from an idiotic owner who thought locking a 6 month old boxer up for 8 hours a day would make her calmer?! She is 3. Then I have Rambo, who is 1. He and his sister were going to be shot because they werent wanted pups, we took them both in and found a home for his sister and he stayed. We think he is a Coonhound mix. Then this past weekend I found this precious Doxie at my mother’s house. He had a license so i went through everything I could to find his owner, who wouldnt own up to being his owner. So he is here (hoping to stay). We call him Stretch. In addition to all the furbabies, I have a 1 and a half year old daughter and a fiance. I am also a full time college student, major is English and minoring in legal studies. So I am pretty busy and what not. I’m happy that I found this place to learn more about this breed and get to know you all. I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and say Hi! Hope to chat with more of you really soon!

I am sorry I did not get to chat with you last night, but you sound like a wonderful, caring and mature 21-year-old, who has her head on straight!
Kudos to you!!
I am sure you will learn a lot about doxies here and also make some great friends in the process.
We would love to see pictures of all your fur babies if you can post them!
I am owned by a 4-year-old smooth black and tan doxie named Baxter, who has stolen my heart and who I adore.
We hope to hear more about your newly adopted doxie too!

It was so nice meeting you in chat last night! Welcome to the HDB!!! You will love it here! Did you get to take Stretch to the vet today? I hope he is doing well, and all of the others dogs are well too! You will LOVE having a doxie!!!! They are the best!

THanks everyone. Stretch has an appointment to go to the vet next thursday. I would have liked for it to be sooner but that was all they had available. We officially decided to keep him today, at least on a trial basis, as long as things dont get out of control with four dogs and we can afford his care then he is here to stay!!!

Hay does strech know how to use the computer a lot of us can type the hard thing it getting the hoomans to go to bed or go out so we can hse it… Buddy
