The 6 boys and 1 girl wanted me to give everyone an update
Just thought I’d give an update of what has been going on in the Musketeer home:)) Hensley turned a year old last week, it wasn’t too long ago that he was just a itty bitty thing:) He still is itty bitty, very petite boy, if lack of a better word for a male dachsie:)) Marley will be 2yrs old this month, that one is hard to swallow. We are still waiting for him to mellow out, but don’t see it happening, even after being neutered. He actually has changed a lot since he got neutered, and I don’t necessarily think for the better, which is suppose to be the rule of thumb:)) I think he’s just upset we took away his jewels, and he’s been protesting ever since:))LOL Logan and Marley continue to have their battles. I don’t know that these two will ever be really close pals, they are too similar in personality, both as hardheaded as they come:) We’ve had to break up several fights between them, and this is mainly when they want to eat out of the same bowl. I keep telling Leo he needs to step up to the plate and set these boys straight, but so far he prefers to just watch them duke it out themselves, which I would let them, but I’m too afraid one of them will get hurt. Riley my special boy, they are all special but Riley is just a bit more, but don’t tell anyone. He is such a lover, and honestly the perfect boy. He doesn’t fight, doesn’t bark, his main goal in life is to play. He loves to play fetch. I’ve thought about maybe getting him into some type of class, have thought about agility, but I’m not sure my knees could handle all the running and stooping:)))LOL Paisley is starting to look more like a dachsie, she is getting longer now, but she is still a peanut. My hubby and best friend call her a dwarf because she is so low to the ground:))LOL I tell both of them this is how they are suppose to be built, afterall they were meant to crawl through holes in the ground, and this isn’t happening with a dachsie that is too high off the ground:)) She is such a sweetheart, can’t believe it took me all this time to get a female:)) She can actually have some independence, whereas the boys freak out if I’m out of their site for too long:)) She is a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to showing her soon:)) The other boys are doing great, they are just the old timers, but still a lot of fun:)) They have all enjoyed the two big snow storms we’ve had within a week, I try and tell them they were born dachshunds not huskies, but they don’t believe me for a minute:))) Just thought I’d update, it seems they are all maturing so quickly, too quick sometimes:) I will also have everyone know I’ve turned down two choc/cream dachsies in the past two weeks, the one color I have wanted for so long. After a lot of thought, I have too many that are young yet and need my attention, and with my plans to show Paisley, I need to focus on this. They are all housetrained to, and I need a reprieve from housetraining, kennel training, all that stuff:)) Now this doesn’t mean that tomorrow I won’t change my mind. My husband says tomorrow is a new day, and anything is possible with me:)) The one I turned down is a half sister to Paisley. That’s it:)) Bobbi and her 6 boys and 1 girl:)))) I forgot to mention Louie turned 8, Leo will be 5, Riley 3, Logan 1, Paisley 1

Bobbie. I need to say that you do a wonderful job with all your babies. Even if you did not get the choc and cream this time there will always be another later, I do think however that your next one should also be a girl as there is just to much testosterone in your house and you and paisley need to even that out in your favor a little more. Good luck at the shows and I cant wait to see more pictures.
