The jumping frisbee (that you probably had in mind) is actually an advanced level. There's no way we can compete in that, hehe. There are categories that are simpler-- like rolling a frisbee on the ground, and the dog has to catch it while it's rolling, and other "low impact" frisbee maneuvers :) That's what we're trying to get into :) Thanks for all the replies! :)

My only concern about Frisbee is the jumping that I usually see involved with the game. Otherwise - organized sports for dogs are fantastic ways to socialize and exercise them.
