Abby has pnemonia
My poor Abby is having some issues again. Her pvc has been alright but now she has a mild case of pnemonia. Last night she was vomiting up foam, shivering and had diarhea. We called the vet around 9pm and Dr. Moore was still there. We took her out and had a chest xray and a fecal done. The xray showed a mild case of what appears to be pnemonia and the fecal showed a mild case of guiardia. She’s more likely to get these things because of all the immune supressents she’s on for her auto immune hemolytic anemia. He thinks she will be fine, gave her antibiotics and sent her home after midnight. Her temp is wonderful today and she is acting nice and perky. She is still vomiting a bit but her tummy is also out of wack from her prednisone being increased again last week. The xrays also showed huge gas pockets in her tummy so that’s most likely what’s causing the vomiting. She is now on EN for her food and is still taking pepcid for her tummy. She will get another chest xray in 10 days to make sure her lungs are clear and it wasn’t a mass rather than pnemonia. We are thinking that’s not likely since the spots in her lungs only showed up on one angle of the xrays and not all. Please keep our little Abby in your thoughts.
