new dachshund!!!!

our family has extended! Diesel is finally here!!!!!! Delilah was okay at first but now shes kinda acting weird, like as though she wants no part of him. kinda avoiding him. will this end soon?? shes lived with other dachshunds before, whats her deal?

   I’m so jealous of your new puppy,I want one!!!
   And I’m jealous that your doxie has my”future” doxie’s name(Delilah)…….but seriously,CONGRAST ON YOUR NEW BABY!!!!!
   Honestly IDK what Delilah’s problem is,other then a little jealousy issue,I’d say just watch her and make sure she doesn’t hurt the new baby,give her time and I’m sure she’ll warm up to him!!!

   A dachsie jealous? Mmmmmm that certainly is the case here! When Anton and Otto arrived, we were very jealous and it took a long time for us to accept them. Now, of course, we love them to bits and wouldn’t want to be without them. Give Delilah time to get used to the idea of having another dachsie around.

   I would just give her time. Her routine has been disturbed and she may not know where she fits in right now. Give her just as much attention as before and hopefully she will come out of it and they will become best of friends.

   Caution: right now until they bond I wouldnt leave them alone together for both of their safety. Better safe than sorry.
