Amazing Dachshund Finds Way to Owner’s Funeral

This is one of the most amazing dog stories I’ve ever heard, dachshund or otherwise, and wanted to share it with you guys. I hope no one thinks I’m trying to promote my blog here, I like to come here and read discsussions and blogs, and post when I can.
This dog Sam’s owner died of cancer on Monday, he escaped his yard with an electric fence collar on, went missing 2.5 days, and showed up at the funeral 6 miles away across busy highways. Tissue alert - Dogs, especially dachshunds are such incredible creatures:

What an incredible story. It reminds me of Grafriars Bobby who visited his deceased owner’s grave and now has a statue to his memory in the graveyard.
We are honored to be able to forge such a strong bond with such amazing creatures of God’s creation.

Makes you wonder how can people can question the instinct and wisdom and love of animals when there’s a story like this, huh? You’re right Doxhoonts about this being like Grafriars Bobby - I didn’t think about that.
