Kinda scared

Kizzie and Boogey have appointments at the vet next week. I’m a little scared because my 4 month old Kizz seems to wobbly on her feet. She also seems to have what looks to me like a hernia. She also has a bad bend in her tail close to the end. Her ribs to me seem to really stick out on her right side. She plays, eats, and runs, she seems to be healthy but I’m scared that the vet is going to say something is the matter with her. She has been to the vet before, and she assured me that Kizzie is normal. I wish I could post pictures but have trouble doing so because I have a Mac computer. What do you guys think? Anyone have any of these things happen to their doxie? I know the vet is the only one who can tell me if she has developed any problems but I thought maybe someone can tell me if they’ve had the same problems or concerns. …….thanks, Kim, Boogey, & Kizz

Aww I don’t know what to tell you other than try not to imagine the worst with Kizzy until she sees the Vet. It’s really hard not to because we get so attached to these little bundles of fur and love soooooo quickly.

I’ll say a prayer to Saint Francis to watch over Kizzy.

Tell us what happens at the vet.

I wouldn’t worry about it until you see the vet.
Mica had hernia repair at her spay, she did fine, just a little extra bruising. Izzy has a kink in her tail, the last couple of inches are at a pretty good angle, its not a problem for her.

Umbilical hernias can be easily repaired at spay time. As far as the kink, it is a beauty mark!!!

    You are a gem

I’ve had dachsies with hernias and bent tails… and Otto’s ribs stick out, probably because he’s quite skinny. I don’t think that you need to worry unduely, but it is always best to get these things checked out.

As far as Macs are concerned….. I love mine! I can’t seem to work out how to post pictures on a blog entry, but I have no trouble with the Gallery.

Thanks guys, the appointment is Tuesday but I think I’m going to see if she will take her in tomorrow instead. Boogey B is doing good. He is a funny, crazy, dachshund!!! He no longer has aggression issues. Long walks have helped. And lots of love have also helped. I can’t believe what a mess he was when we got him last September. Wow, already 7 months ago. He is such a confident guy now, no longer the shy, scared, fear aggressive boy he used to be. ….Okay I’m rambling ……can you tell how much love I have for these doxies??? I’ll let you all know what happened after I take them to the vet….Oh yeah, Harry I do love my Mac, best computer I’ve ever had, but I can’t post my pics that’s the only draw back. I’ll try using the Gallery.
