Eeeeeeeewwwwwww.
Gretel here.
The Mama and the Other One were petting me this morning and my ear flipped back, and what do you think was sitting there like a big bloated raisin, right in the long fur where it couldn’t be noticed?
A tick.
Blecccchhhh.
I could have told them it was there since we went into the woods the other day, but these people never notice anything until it’s as big as their fingernail and ready to pop. Anyway, they put Vaseline on it and pulled it out veeeerrrrrryyy slowly with tweezers, and I was good as gold and didn’t budge. Then the Mama — feeling very guilty for not noticing it sooner — went over the rest of me to make sure it didn’t have a friend. And the Other One flushed it.
Good thing I’m up-to-date on my Lyme vaccine, huh?
