The long haul

Hey everyone,
Stretch here…just wanted to jump up on here and see what was going on on the blog…I have been doing really good since my trip to the Vet’s to get nootered, but I got in big trouble here yesterday because I went to the bathroom in the hooman pup’s room… today mom came home with my new house and it isnt soft like the other one that I managed to escape from on numerous occassions (she underestimated my intelligence) but I do not know how to get out of this one…if anyone has advice please let me know so I can get out!
My big brother and sisters are laughing at me saying that “I’m the oldest so I should know better than to do that in the house” but I just couldnt help myself. I was mad at mom because she left me and took that hooman pup in the car. How mean :*(
Mom is really trying hard to learn about me and to be able to understand my doxian ways, but shes having a hard time. She said that she is thankful that she found the blog so that she can have nice people help her…she said that it is a big learning process since she is used to the big dogs (and from living with them I now know size does not relate to brains), but she said that shes in it for the long haul (whatever that means)….
Other than that nothing new is happening here for me…just a lot of eating sleeping relaxing and eating again… its tough but someone has to show those big dogs what the good life is. Mom says that since she doesnt know what my life was like before she found me that she has to show patience with me, but she lost it a few days ago when the hooman pup hugged me and I growled and snapped…she turned me over on my back and growled back! I was amazed that a hooman could do that! I didnt mean any harm by it, the pup just was a little rough. I guess its a learning process for me as well…and if its a good thing, then I am in it for the long haul too. ( still dont knwo what that means.) But my doxian friends this has been a lot of work for my little paws so I have to go eat and take a nap now. Take care!
Stretch

I do think mom was not cool taking that hooman pup she could have left it home in his cage and taken you…

Stretch, I’m so glad everyone is in it for the long haul. You be patient with the hooman pup. I know some day soon you two will be best friends.
