Almost home!
I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes regarding my current illness. I am not ‘out of the woods yet’, but the hospital allowed my sister to ’spring me’ yesterday, and I am now staying with her while my brain tries to sort it self out! I have lost a lot of blood through 9 major nosebleeds (plus countless little ones), had 2 operations with general anaesthetics and a week of ultrastrict bed rest. At my age, that is a lot to go through, especially as my dachsie nurses have been in prison……
The cause of the problem is unknown….. ‘it just happens’ I was told. The greatest risk factor is liver disease and alcoholism…… I was asked how much alcohol I drink in a week; the risk rises at over 4 units a week. I don’t drink that in a YEAR! The liver function tests are all back normal, so it seems that I have just had bad luck. During the second operation they clipped the spheno-palatine artery, reducing blood flow to the nose by 90%. I hope that this doesn’t mean that my nose will drop off!
We will get the Gang home on Friday, and then see what happens. The more I rest, the quicker my recovery should be.
So, thank you again everyone. Once I am home, I hope to be able to reply to emails etc. but whilst I am here at my sister’s, my beloved Mac refuses to log on via their modem!

Oh, Jutta, you poor thing!!
I am so glad to hear you were well enough to be released from the hospital and are recouperating at your sister’s.
I am sure Harry and the gang are hanging in there and will give you lots and lots of wet sloppy kisses when you get them on Friday!!
So, please take is easy and let the gang help heal and nurse you, as there is no better medicine than a warm doxie to snuggle.

I know this is a bit late, but I just have been so busy lately. I’m so glad to hear you are okay, and it sounds like you’ve got a great support system while you recover. I will keep you in my prayers for a full recovery. I know it must seem like you will never feel better, but stay positive, the mind is a very powerful thing, and make sure to rest as much as possible. Take care and keep us updated. Bobbi and gang
